Dr. Roch Turner (Doc Roch)

My name is Roch Turner (Doc Roch) and I am the new 6th/7th grade special education teacher. I am a third generation Montanan and the second of four generations to go through Hamilton Schools. After graduation from Hamilton High School I immediately enlisted in the US Navy. I served onboard the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) as a shipboard imagery intelligence analyst and for NATO as a signals intelligence analyst. Following my time in the world's finest Navy I returned to school earning a BA in History, Masters of Public Administration, PhD in International Education, and EdD in Educational Leadership. I have spent the past eight years working in multiple capacities for the University of Montana. Most recently I taught International Education in the College of Education.

I love to read and am active every chance I get. If I'm not with a book someplace, I can usually be found running or biking, preferably in the woods. I am absolutely in love with Montana! Our trails, rivers, and peaks are unbeatable. My wife, Jenn, and I have an enormous dog named Lady Bird. Lady Bird is 108 pounds and we have yet to find something that she ISN'T afraid of!

I am thrilled to be teaching for the Hamilton School District. If you see me running feel free to wave our shout out a hello!
